Serious question! Is Klaus still a threat?

I mean he isn’t a murderous dick anymore. He likes art and horses and wants to take his girl and run off to Europe. He wants to be a whole family with his family members. He wants to have a thousand more birthdays. He wants cookies and cupcakes for his birthday… Ok the last part may be a little exaggerated but you get my point. He’s not “that” bad anymore.
So I don’t get why everyone in mystic falls still want to kill him and make him suffer…
